بدأت اليوم الخميس في انواكشوط أعمال ورشة حول تشبيع المواد الغذائية باليود وتكوين المنتجين، منظمة من طرف وزارة التجارة والصناعة والصناعة التقليدية والسياحة بالتعاون مع صندوق الأمم المتحدة للطفولة.
ويهدف هذا اللقاء، الذي يدوم يومين، إلى إعطاء دفع جديد لبرنامج تشبيع المواد الغذائية باليود والتفكير في الطريق الكفيلة بإيجاد استراتجية استعجالية لتفعيل برنامج التشبيع ووضع خطة للحد من الاضطرابات التي يؤديها نقص مادة اليود في الجسم.
وأوضحت الأمينة العامة لوزارة التجارة والصناعة والصناعة التقليدية والسياحة السيدة امعيزيزه بنت محفوظ ولد كوربالي في كلمة لها بالمناسبة أن الورشة تدخل في إطار برنامج العمل السنوي لقطاع الصناعة، حيث تكتسي أهمية كبيرة لارتباط موضوعها بالصحة العامة للمواطن خاصة المرأة والطفل

وقالت إن القطاع عمل منذ 2004 على إصدار النصوص التنظيمية الملزمة لتشبيع المواد الغذائية بمادة اليود كالزيوت والدقيق وتنظيم حملات تحسيسية لتوعية المواطنين بضرورة استخدام الملح المشبع باليود وتوزيع المواد المشبعة على المطاحن.
وأشادت بدور شركاء موريتانيا في التنمية وخاصة "اليونيسيف" على ما يقدمونه من دعم لجهودها التنموية.
وبدوره أكد ممثل عن اليونيسف، رئيس مصلحة التغذية السيد اكريستيان تنكان أهمية مادة اليود صحيا وحاجة الإنسان إليها، حيث أن نقصها في غذاء الإنسان قد تنتج عنه أمراض خطيرة، خاصة لدى النساء الحوامل والأطفال.
وأشار إلى أن نسبة استهلاك مادة اليود لا تزال ضعيفة لا تتجاوز 25 في المائة، حيث أن واحدة من عشر أسر تستعمل اليود بطريقة جيدة.
