بدأ الاجتماع الثاني للفريق مفتوح العضوية من الخبراء والمختصين بمجال حماية المستهلك بالدول العربية بمقر جامعة الدول العربية بالقاهرة الذي يستمر يومين، لمناقشة مشروع بروتوكول التعاون في مجال حماية المستهلك بين الدول العربية، وتصميم المنصة العربية لحماية حقوق المستهلك.

يناقش الاجتماع مقترح برتوكول التعاون في مجال حماية المستهلك بين الدول العربية الذي أعدته الأمانة العامة للجامعة العربية، بناء على خطة عمل الفريق العربي للخبراء والمختصين بموضوعات حماية المستهلك في الدول العربية، والتي أقرت من قبل المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وكذلك بناءً على توصيات الاجتماع الـ13 لفريق الخبراء والمختصين بمجال حماية المستهلك في إطار منطقة التجارة الحرة العربية الكبرى.

ومن المنتظر أن ينتهي الخبراء، خلال الاجتماع، من مناقشة بروتوكول التعاون في مجال حماية المستهلك بين الدول العربية تمهيداً لاعتماده من المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وكذلك الانتهاء من مناقشة التصميم الخاص بالمنصة العربية لحماية حقوق المستهلك التي سيكون لها أثر إيجابي على مسيرة التعاون العربي في هذا المجال.
